About this fundraiser:

Detroit Prep is a nonprofit public charter school on the east side of Detroit (est. 2015) which serves hundreds of students in grades kindergarten - 5th grade. Detroit Prep is the most diverse school in the city, and prides itself on providing a world-class education that focuses on positive character development in addition to academic proficiency. Our school is joyful, safe, and bright, and we’ve spent countless hours learning together, celebrating together, and growing together.

Detroit Prep adds one grade level each year and, after our 3rd school year, we no longer fit in our old rented space in the basement of a church. With your help, we were able to buy a (formerly abandoned) school building of our own! We worked really hard for two years to renovate the first two floors and move in this past fall. It’s our dream space and perfect for our growing Detroit Prep family.

Our final phase of our building renovation (completing our 3rd floor) is underway, and we need your help! Move as many miles as you can between August 18th - 27th, ask your friends and families to support you, and get us one step closer to fully finishing the renovation of our #DPforeverhome!
