About this fundraiser:

Dear Westwood Lacrosse Supporter:

On Monday, January 11th, 2021, my lacrosse team, the Westwood Men’s Lacrosse Club, conducted a Lax-a-thon Competition. The purpose of this event was to help raise funds for our team as lacrosse is not a UIL sport and receives no funding from the district. My lacrosse program's existence is dependent on fundraisers such as this in order to pay coaches and cover the cost of its operating budget.

The Speed Shot Contest featured each player on the team shooting as hard as they could into an open goal while using a radar gun to measure the speed of their shot.

To help my team, I am asking that you sponsor me with a donation based on the miles per hour (MPH) of my best shot. Listed below are some possible donation amounts or you may choose to make a flat donation.

Some examples of how you can calculate your donation are listed below:

$.50 per MPH $0.50 x 90 (MPH) = $45 total amount donated

$1.00 per MPH $1.00 x 76 (MPH) = $76 total amount donated

$2.00 per MPH $2.00 x 83 (MPH) = $166 total amount donated

$5.00 per MPH $5.00 x 70 (MPH) = $350 total amount donated
