About this fundraiser:

Thank you for contributing to PlayForHer, an initiative inspired by Nancy McDaniel and hosted by Stanford Women's Golf in the fight against breast cancer. In two years, we have raised over $455,000 and donated DIRECTLY to leading breast cancer research doctors.

Last year, we dedicated our fundraiser to Coach Nancy McDaniel, former Women's Golf Coach of University of California, Berkeley. We came together and raised a total of $290,000 which was gifted directly to Dr. Hope Rugo at UCSF.

This years event was dedicated to Arizona State Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye and her late sister, Heather Farr. Heather was diagnosed at the age of 23 and lost her battle five years later. Coach Missy is a TWO time survivor of breast cancer. We raised over $165,000.

All funds were given directly to Dr. Allison Kurian and the Stanford Breast Cancer Center. Her research in cancer genetics aims to identify women, like Heather Farr, more efficiently and accurately, at high risk of disease. If successful, we can save more young lives in the years to come.

ONE in EIGHT women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. We can change the future of our student-athletes and loved one’s lives if we come together and PlayforHer.
