Dear Friend of Wilmington Youth Rowing Association,

On Saturday, March 22nd, WYRA will host the 2025 Ergathon, our annual fundraiser to support our rowing program.

Last year, we raised $22,000, funding critical equipment, including cox boxes, boat hardware, and the Excalibur and Crusader shells. This year, our primary goal is replacing our 25-year-old dock, a $130,000 project. Thanks to grants and donations, we’ve secured a portion of the funds, but half of the Ergathon proceeds will support this effort.

We invite you to sponsor a WYRA athlete. Your donation will be linked to the athlete of your choice, and matching gifts count toward their total. WYRA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all donations are tax-deductible.

About this fundraiser:

On Saturday March 22rd, the WYRA community will be gathering at the boathouse to take part in the 2025 Ergathon. It is our hope to raise $25,000 that will be used to upgrade or replace some of our equipment including our 25 year old dock.

Rowing is an expensive sport. In order to make rowing available to all, WYRA strives to keep its dues as low as possible. As a result we have limited funds for the equipment we need to keep our athletes safe and competitive.

It is our greatest hope that you will consider sponsoring one of our athletes in the 2025 Ergathon. Your donation will be connected to the athlete of your choice. Any corporate or matching donation will also be attributed to the same athlete.
