Jog-A-Thon is returning for a fourth year! Last year was a huge success and our students raised enough money to build a new inclusive playground. The playground was installed last spring and has already proved to be a wonderful addition to the Langston Hughes playground.
So what is Jog-a-thon? It is a party all day! Music, exercise, outdoor time, and fundraising all wrapped into one! This is an empowering opportunity for our students to take action to directly support their school community.
The money the students raise will go toward PTO's efforts to support the teachers and staff. Our students are looking for people to sponsor them for Jog-a-thon, where they will walk/run as many laps as they can during their 30 minute time block on September 13th.
You can make a flat donation or pledge per lap using a credit card online OR you can pay with cash or check (payable to Langston Hughes PTO) by giving it directly to the student you are supporting. Note that last year students averaged 15-20 laps. Thank you for your support - we can't make this happen without you!

Langston Hughes PTO is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the support of our Langston students, families, teachers, and staff.
In a typical school year, many essential experiences, supplies, and classroom materials are not provided by the school district, which is where we step in to provide funding. The PTO, using money raised during our regular fundraisers, is able to give our teachers so many of the things they need that the district does not cover.
ANY and ALL amounts are appreciated, regardless of size! All donation amounts count - no donation is too small and no donation is too big!
Your donations will help pay for:
