About this fundraiser:
The 6th Annual Summer 1k is here!
Yes, it’s true … it’s a ONE KAY (that’s 1 kilometer, .62 miles or 3280.84 feet or 39,370.08 inches). A spectacular group of “athletes” will navigate an extensive race course powering over 4 “hydrating” stations and a grueling 3280.84 feet to the finish line!
Each of the 1K “athletes” will be competing for the GOLD and also requesting pledges as we raise money for Autism Tree Project Foundation.
Founded in 2003, ATPF is dedicated to improving communities in San Diego County by assisting with education, advocacy, screening and mentoring for families impacted by autism. Our goal is to give children on the autism spectrum a voice and build community compassion towards the families of these special children. ATPF helps thousands of families with autism create a roadmap for their children and navigate a very complex system of care required for those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ATPF encompasses no-cost programs and services that provide children with autism with the social communication opportunities they need to thrive. ATPF serves children of all ages who have autism, as well as their parents, siblings and teachers.
Your donations will help pay for:
- 200 free community events annually for autistic children
- Mentoring & resources for families affected by autism
- Annual Global Neuroscience Conference
