My school, the Academy of Alameda, is holding its annual Read-a-thon! As a school community, we’re working towards raising funds that will help us go on lots of fun field trips, and I’m very excited to take part.

I will read as much as I can over the next two weeks, and I'm asking for sponsors to help me reach my fundraising goal. Will you help, by making a pledge per minute that I read or a simple flat donation?

At The Academy of Alameda we place a high value on equity and inclusion. Part of showing that is creating opportunities for all children to participate in fun activities outside of our school. During the AOA Read-a-thon we, as a school community, will be raising funds for awesome field trips for all our kids and underscoring the importance and joy of reading books!
