About this fundraiser:

We are raising money to send our amazing theatre students to the International Thespian Festival in Bloomington, Indiana. The Bridgeland High School Theatre Company was selected to perform Damn Yankees on the Main Stage at ITF! This is such an amazing honor! Only 7 schools are selected to perform each year, and this opportunity is groundbreaking for not only Bridgeland High School, but all of CFISD, and the entire state of Texas! We are the first school chosen to represent our area, and we are so excited to showcase our talent on a national platform!

Our school is only 6 years old, and in that short amount of time, our theatre department has made quite a name for itself! For the past three years, Bridgeland Theatre Company has advanced to the Regional level for the UIL One Act play competition, and this year, our Bears advanced to State! Their hard work and dedication earned them the title of 6A State Runner Up, placing 2nd in the biggest theatre competition in the world! Over the past two years we have been nominated for 17 Tommy Tune awards, and our very own Jake Ulanday was sent to New York to compete for a Jimmy award!

This year, our production of Damn Yankees was selected to perform on the National's MainStage. This is such a unique opportunity for these students. It is the biggest stage they will ever perform on as a member of a high school company. It’s like the World Series for High School Theatre!

We will use the money you so graciously donate to send our students and directors, musicians, instruments, set, props, and costumes across multiple state lines to Bloomington, Indiana. To put on a production of this magnitude at home is a feat in itself, but to drive it halfway across the country requires so much more support from our community, so we thank you in advance for any amount you are willing to donate to assist our students in this once in a lifetime opportunity!
