About this fundraiser:

BRLL Fall Scoreboard Fundraiser - HIT A THON on SATURDAY SEP 28TH

As many of you are aware, our scoreboards at the James Main and the Elizabeth and Emory Frye fields have more than reached their life expectancy and are in need of replacement. The cost to replace these are about $5,000 each. In an effort to raise money to complete these two capital improvement projects, we are working with 99Pledges to hold a HIT-A-THON this Fall. The funds raised from this event will be set aside and once we have enough in the account, we will move out on purchasing and installing one of the two. We will again hold another HIT-A-THON in the Spring to continue to build funds in this account for the second scoreboard and hopefully a complete Batting Cage Renovation Project.

The HIT-A-THON will be held on Saturday, September 28th at the Major League Field. You and your player can come anytime between the hours of 1:00-3:00pm to participate. If you cannot attend that day, no worries, we will catch you at your next scheduled practice day/time. You will be receiving an email with instructions and pledge sheets from 99Pledges. On the day of the HIT A THON, please bring your pledge sheet so one of the volunteers can record the number of hits. Each player will receive 10 pitches and of those 10 pitches your successful hits will be recorded.

Please bear with us as this is a new Fundraiser event for us and we are all learning as we go. Other leagues in our District have held these types of events and have proven to be successful.

We have 23 softball players and 97 baseball players registered this Fall. If each player received $30.00 in pledges, we would have enough to get started on one scoreboard replacement!
