About this fundraiser:
Hi, my name is Lance Green, and I'm fundraising for my students to have 1:1 (one-to-one) access to modern electronic music equipment. The students I serve attend schools where over 95% of the student population receive free and reduced lunch and the median income is $31,000.
Since 2010, I have hosted a 'Beats Club' for my students to learn and use digital tools for music creation. Currently, I use my own personal music production equipment for my students, which is limited for the amount of students that I serve.
With the pandemic still affecting schools, the best and safest option for engaging my students in music production is having more equipment to limit the spread of bacteria and viruses.
Electronic music production incorporates elements of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics that largely benefits students in schools. I have also witnessed electronic music production play a large part in improving behavior and stimulating interest in college and career options.
With the average cost of a single beat machine costing over $300, many of my students can not afford to purchase music production equipment.
With your monetary donations, students will continue to have the opportunity to pursue their passion and produce their dreams.
