🎶✨ Get ready to vibe with us, Happy Valley, because an epic day of fun and fitness is coming to a field near you! Our students are warming up to break it down around the track at our school’s biggest fundraiser of the year—Move*A*Palooza - on October 3rd! In the weeks prior, our "headliner," P.E. Specialist Mrs. Flink will help students set goals, track their progress and harmonize together in order to raise funds that keep Happy Valley jamming through the year.

🎸 How to "Join the Band"
We hope you’ll sponsor your student for this movement + music–inspired fundraiser! Students will try to complete as many laps as they can (6 laps = 1 mile!) Our goal is $200 per child. Every contribution—whether it’s a solo act or a full family encore—helps. Please consider donating for each student in your family, and if you’re able, help amplify another child’s pledge to keep us on track toward our goal.

🎤 Why We Need to Rock Out Together
With an $11.4M budget shortfall, our district has had to cut classroom resources, decrease teacher support, and reduce enrichment funds. Nearly 50% of our families are already navigating financial stress, and last year alone, families requested $12,647 in scholarships from our PTA. Our community’s support matters more than ever!

But here’s the good news: ALL students get to participate in Move*A*Palooza and enjoy the prizes and community spirit, no matter how much is raised. We never single out students for the amounts they bring in.

And thanks to our PTA bylaws, 10% of every dollar raised is shared with other Bellingham schools through the Elementary Partners Equity Project—supporting students with the greatest need across the district.
