About this fundraiser:

On Wednesday March 1, the Kindle Home & School Association—with the immense help of our amazing kids—will kick-off our 2nd Annual READ-A-THON.

Students will track the number of minutes they read outside of school EVERY DAY from March 1-31st, and parent volunteers will tally weekly minutes. Your students' teacher will share updates weekly throughout March, and each week’s winning classes will proudly display orange and black stars on their classroom doors for all to see—classes only compete within their grade; grades do not compete with one another. The winning class in each grade receives an extra recess, and the Kindle reader with the highest number of minutes read across all grades will win a $50 gift card to Walmart!

Students will receive achievement buttons for reaching “minute milestones” throughout the month (100, 250, 500, 750, 1,000). Kids can count anything they read toward the READ-A-THON, students may include any minutes read to them, too.

We are relying on the support of friends, family, and our community to make this fundraiser a success. Please pledge to support our students in their first READ-A-THON—you can pledge per minute or a flat amount—and please remember, no amount is too small!
