About this fundraiser:

Northern Illinois Special Recreation (NISRA) enriches the lives of people with disabilities through meaningful recreation experiences. NISRA provides over 950 community therapeutic recreation programs to over 1400 individuals with disabilities each year; Programs like summer day camps, Special Olympic training, theater, music, social clubs, overnight trips and so much more. These programs promote health, fun and independent living skills for participants.

The NISRA Foundation preserves the future funding and quality of NISRA services. The Foundation raises money through fundraising events, grants and donations for innovative programs, scholarships, adapted equipment, staffing, accessible buses, and more.

Your support helps to create access to a better quality of life for individuals who already have far too many barriers to overcome for full inclusion in the greater community in which they live.
