About this fundraiser:

The Mission of the South Pasadena Middle School Music Program is to provide the highest quality instruction and opportunities to as many students as possible. SPMS Music Boosters is a non-profit 501 c3 composed of parents, teachers, students, and community members dedicated to the promotion and development of music with an emphasis on student instruction and public performance.

The SPMS Music program Practice-A-Thon not only supports our music program, but also supports each student's personal musical development goal. This fundraiser will be supporting teacher and classroom needs such as instruments, sheet music and coaching, as well as classroom improvements. Additionally, 20% of all funds raised will be donated to the World Health Organization's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund (https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/donate).

How It Works:
Make a pledge to encourage practicing, raise money for our school, and contribute to the WHO COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Our Practice-A-Thon will be based on the amount of time students will spend practicing from April 6th through May 17th. Students will practice for a total of 12 hours or more.

Two Ways to Make a Pledge:
FLAT DONATION - You can sponsor a student with a flat amount.
PLEDGE PER HOUR - You can pledge an amount for hours practiced. For example, students will be practicing for 12 hours or more during spring break. If you pledge $4 an hour, your contribution will be $48.

Your donations will help pay for:

  • Sheet Music
  • Coaches
  • Instruments and Repairs
  • Festival Fees
  • Transportation Costs
  • Uniforms
  • Student Scholarships
