Welcome to the 2019 Dance for Davis Dance-a-Thon!

The Dance for Davis Dance-a-Thon is a dance for all three grade levels! The fall fundraiser, typically our biggest school fundraiser of the year, is a fun event in which students raise money by collecting donations or pledges for dancing a set number of minutes during a special in-school dance day. The Dance-a-Thon takes place at the end of the day on September 20th (all grades). Students will have the opportunity to dance for at least 40 minutes. If everyone participates, that is over 41,000 minutes of collectively moving to support our school! Not only does this support Davis Middle School, but it is fun and healthy, too!

HOW IT WORKS
Students invite family, friends, and neighbors to support them by contributing a flat amount for participating in the Dance-a-Thon.

IMPORTANT DATES
> September 3: Dance for Davis Dance-a-Thon Kicks Off! Students launch their fundraising web pages, gather sponsors and donations, and start practicing their dance moves! 😊
> September 6: First Collection of Cash/Check Envelope Donations
> September 13: Second Collection of Cash/Check Envelope Donations
> September 16: Third Collection of Cash/Check Envelope Donations
> September 20: Dance-a-Thon Day!
>October 4: Last Collection Cash/Check Day & Online Donations Due
>October 7: Winners Announced!

GOALS
> Our goal is to raise $36,500. If each student collects $35, we meet our goal and every student gets the opportunity to dance during the dance-a-thon!
> A donation of $25 or more gains individual student entry to the Dance-a-Thon. If you’d like to help ensure that every student gets to dance and that we meet our fundraising goal, please consider making an additional donation.
> For each $25 raised, the student’s name will be entered in a drawing to win a $200 Target Gift Card. One gift card will be awarded on each dance day.
> The student with the highest donations will receive an iPad mini and a Lunch Party with 10 friends and service by our Davis Principals!
> The student with the 2nd highest donations will receive a set of AirPods with charging case.
> The student with the 3rd highest donations will receive a Fitbit.
> The homeroom class with the highest donations will receive homework passes and a popsicle party!
> The grade that collects the most donations will receive free concessions at their dance and possession of the Davis Spirit Stick!

The Davis PTO is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and your donation is tax deductible. Federal ID number is 31-1246476.

We could not engage in many of the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do at Davis without your support. Please know that no amount is too small. Your ongoing backing and support are both truly appreciated.
