The Be A Friend Project is a national "kids for kids" organization that supports and celebrates STUDENT UPSTANDERS working to end bullying, save lives and build kinder communities using empathy, education, peer support and the Arts.

On Sunday, June 9th from 11:00 - 2:00 pm at the main Valhalla Campus of Westchester Community College, the Teen Kindness Board (TKB) of the Be A Friend Project hosts their 2nd Annual Walkathon “walking towards a kinder world” to end bullying! Multiple satellite walks are planned up until June 23rd.

This BAFP Walkathon is the brainchild of TKB member AIDAN DUVER who served as its Chair until May 24th, 2023, when he passed away after a 2-year battle with cancer at just 18 years old. The Walkathon is a legacy of Aidan's work and passion to make the world "a brighter place."

INFO FOR WALKERS:

- Register by clicking the red "Add Participant" button above to join a group and customize your personal page.

- Choose the "Friend Strong Team" for general registration.

- Want to form your own group? New groups, including satellite teams, must be added by a BAFP Admin. Email heather@beafriendproject.org with your group name and she will let you know as soon as it's ready for you to register.

- You can customize your automatic "Participant Message" and once you receive your confirmation email for registering, you will find a link to replace your page icon with a personal picture before sending it out for pledges!

- Consider making a large sign to carry while walking! We will also have a sign-making station at the Event Village.

Please visit Aidan Duver's tribute area at the Event Village. Purple hearts abound for our beloved TKB Upstander who continues to lead and inspire us all.
