About this fundraiser:

At the Be A Friend Project, our mission is to support student 'Upstanders' working to save the lives of their bullied peers and build kinder communities. We are proud to be an organization inspired by kids and for kids! Our national Teen Kindness Board helps guide our programming. This 1st Be A Friend Walkathon is the initiative of the Teen Kindness Board, organized to be an annual legacy for their founding members to raise funds and anti-bullying awareness. It has been dedicated to our Teen Board Chair, Aidan Duver from Dobbs Ferry, NY, who passed away after a 2-year battle with cancer on May 24th. This walkathon was Aidan's initial idea for a fundraiser for the BAFP. 💜

Thank you to everyone who joined us ON SATURDAY, JUNE 3RD in Irvington, NY. You can still donate and register to walk with a satellite team such as the MSS Makers of Change "Hike For Hope" or Daniel's "Upstanders" team in New Jersey and/or do your own 1-5 mile walk as part of the "Friend Strong Team" anywhere in the world (even on a treadmill) anytime through midnight on June 16th. We have extended this deadline for the MSS Hike For Hope which has been delayed from June 7th due to the Canadian wildfires causing hazardous air quality for outdoor activities in NY. You can also make a general donation to the BAFP on the main page, or use the search form to find your walker and make a targeted pledge for them! Thank you!
