About this fundraiser:

This year Briarlake's PTA will be working on improving our technology for virtual learning, supporting our teachers, and reading books that celebrate our diversity. We are a school where student learning thrives and children feel good about the place they call their school. We believe that this is because of the incredible students that attend our school, the awesome staff who believe that relationships with students are key to optimal learning, and the incredible, continued support of our families. We could not engage in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do here without your monetary support. We are asking for each student to try to raise $25, but please know that no amount is too small.

If you cannot contribute monetarily, please consider participating in our Virtual Wednesdays to help students learn about the many cultures represented in our school and classrooms. The PTA would like to provide online opportunities to travel and learn about different parts of the world and their cultures.

From 9-10am on Wednesdays during the Read-A-Thon, we are asking for parents to be Virtual Readers or supervise their student readers as they read based on geographic areas of the world. From 10-11am, we are asking that parents act as Cultural Facitilators and share or have children share aspects of the culture. One parent is also being asked to lead the group for the 2 hours as a moderator using the Briarlake PTA Zoom account.
