About this fundraiser:

Dear BAC Community,

Last spring, our Board President, Quintin Quintana, shared an update on the club’s future and mentioned upcoming fundraising efforts. That time has come.

Burlingame Aquatic Club operates the pool as a 501(c)(3) non-profit for both competitive and community programs in partnership with the City of Burlingame, Burlingame High, and San Mateo Union High School District—a unique responsibility in the Bay Area. We typically work behind the scenes, but today, we are asking for your support.

Why We Need Your Help

Rising costs for staff, utilities, and maintenance threaten our ability to maintain the high standards that make our club one of the best on the Peninsula AND accessible to all. To continue providing top-tier coaching, competitive programs, and facility improvements, we are launching our inaugural annual fundraising campaign.

Our Impact:

🏊 500+ community members in lap swim, learn-to-swim programming, expanded private lessons, aqua aerobics, and new safety programs (Lifeguard certifications & Jr. Lifeguard Camps).

🏆 225 competitive swimmers; added 35 new members; ranked 8th out of 100+ in Pacific Swimming and 141st nationally.

🤽 Water Polo added 25 new athletes; won 1st place in Oregon; offer programs for ages 9–18.

🏅 Masters Swimming & Polo with 100+ swimmers, 50+ polo players, and top national rankings. USMS-certified Gold Club on the Peninsula.

How You Can Support BAC

We are asking for a $250 donation per club participant to help us:

✅ Continue high-quality programming
✅ Maintain and improve club facilities and equipment
✅ Make the programs accessible to all
