About this fundraiser:

On Monday, January 6th, the Colonial PTA will kick-off our first-ever READ-A-THON inspiring students to read in order to raise money for new and existing Cultural Arts Programming in our school across all grade levels.

Students will track the number of minutes they read EVERY DAY from January 6th-January 31st, and parent volunteers will tally weekly minutes and post class results on a leader board outside of Mrs. Wilson's office. Classes compete within their own grade level only, and the class in each grade with the most pages read at the end of the month will receive a $50 gift certificate for a party of their choice.

Students will receive achievement pins for reaching "minute milestones" throughout the month (100, 250, 500, 750, 1000, 2000, 3000). Kids can count anything they read toward the READ-A-THON, and K and 1st grade students also can count minutes read to them.

We are relying on the support of friends, family and our community to make this fundraiser a success. Please pledge to support your Colonial Cougar in his/her first READ-A-THON - you can pledge "per minute" or a flat amount - and please remember no amount is too small!
