We are a youth mountain bike team with the Pennsylvania NICA League. We became a team with a group of 9 youth & 5 coaches in 2019. In 6 short years we've grown to more than 65 riders and 35 coaches.

With growth has come the addition of a small fleet of team bicycles for youth that need to borrow one for a season (or shorter term when their bike is in need of some repairs), more equipment for races and events, more practice supplies that support teaching the skills necessary for safer trail riding, and the replacement of first aid and coach supplies. Our coaches also spend their own money on clearances and advanced first aid/cpr certification and skill training.

This fundraiser will be dedicated to creating a fund for the team to rent a storage unit where we can store equipment that has outgrown the small trailer we tow to races and supporting coaches who may want to be reimbursed for their certification and training expenses.

Our youth (& coaches should they choose to participate) are being challenged to raise (at least) $100 each during this Bike-A-Thon.

How will it work? On Tuesday, September 23rd our team will ride a short loop at our regular practice location. Every youth can go their own pace but the goal will be to ride as many laps as they can, or just keep riding for the entirety of the event - approx 1 hour. (Unless, of course, they need a water break!)

A little more about us: We accept youth from across Delaware County, PA as members of school-communities (Haverford, Penncrest, Radnor, Strath Haven) or as PA Independent riders (residents of Delco, school teams form when the residential school district has enough parent support and participants to be a named team). Our youth join us with a wide-range of experience: kids that are new to riding on grass & trails to kids that regularly seek out the thrill of local bike parks and trail networks.
