About this fundraiser:

The Turkey Trot is FGES' annual fundraiser to support our school's House Initiative! Instead of selling candles, wrapping paper, pizza kits, etc. where schools only receive a portion of the profits, we are asking family and friends to donate directly to the school to allow us to keep 100% of all money raised.

The House Initiative is used to build relationships and foster a sense of community as well as serving as the foundation for our monthly character education program, which promotes social and emotional growth. To keep students engaged and actively participating, many aspects of the initiative are driven by healthy competition, culminating in a special incentive for the house that accumulates the most points by the end of the year or quarter. This reward, referred to as a “house celebration,” is designed to be a unique and memorable experience for the winning house. In addition to the character education activities, House Days will offer students engaging activities that extend beyond the standard curriculum.

The fundraiser concludes with students participating in a fun jog-a-thon during school to show off their falcon pride! The goal of this annual fundraiser is to fully fund all activities done throughout the year during House Days! We cannot do this without the support of our amazing families and friends!

Your donations will help pay for:

• T-shirts with house colors
• Supplies for House Day activities and projects
• Supplies to decorate each House's home pod
• Reusable supplies to enrich the House Day experience
• End of Year House Celebration funding
