Dear Friends and Family,

I am lacing up my sneakers next month and running my best at the Folsom Middle Jag-a-thon. This event raises money for me and my classmates to continue to be enriched with Science, Art, Drama and other programs that are essential but no longer provided by our education system.

I would appreciate it (and so would my 1500 schoolmates) if you could help support me.

About this fundraiser:

"We run the mile race because we care about this place!"

During the school year, our students regularly run the mile as part of the PE curriculum. On Friday, September 22nd, every student will be running an extra mile in an effort to raise funds to support our school PTO.

Students are encouraged to ask family members, friends and neighbors to donate any amount and it is tax deductible! This is a wonderful way for our children to be involved in their school and work towards raising funds which directly benefit them.
Incentives will be given out for those classes who have the greatest participation.

Last year, money raised went toward events such as STEAM Forward Convention, Jag-on-the-Green, school dances, the library, and academic enrichment support. Money used from the jag-a-thon went directly to the library to purchase Chrome carts!

This year we are excited to be able to continue to support academic clubs, the library, and after school enrichment programs/clubs.

As a thank you to ALL of the students we will be providing a popsicle after the Jag-a-thon!!

Your donations will help pay for:

• Library improvements
• Club stipends
• after school enrichment
• STEAM convention
