About this fundraiser:

A school library is much more than a place to house books. It is a social hub that provides different zones and spaces for student safety, personal learning and connections, collaboration and community events

The Northampton High School library needs to be redesigned to provide a space where all students feel a sense of safety and belonging; where they can learn independently and interact with others as collaborators, problem-solvers, innovators, critical thinkers and creators. We are working to refresh the library to be an inclusive space that will allow for multiple types of learning to happen simultaneously. It will also provide the flexibility needed to change each zone from one type to another quickly and easily based on rapidly shifting needs.

Your donations will help purchase new shelves, tables, chairs and other furniture that students, faculty and community members find inviting, comfortable and better suited to their current needs.

Your donations will help pay for:

  • Easily accessible bookshelves
  • Stacking and nesting tables and chairs
  • Couches and side tables for laptop work
  • Booth seating for tutoring and other collaborations
  • Media tables for small groups to view one large screen
  • Display cases for student arts and crafts
