Dear Friends and Family,

I am diving into my books and reading my best for my school's Read-a-thon. The Read-a-thon runs from now until October 11. I will be reading at home and at school to help reach our goal! My goal is 200 minutes and $35!

I'm excited to be a part of it because this event raises money for my school. The money raised helps offset the cost of field trips, and we will use most of the funds to purchase a BOOK VENDING MACHINE! All students will have access to books on their birthday or when they do amazing things as WILDCAT Leaders throughout the school year.

I'm going to read as much as I can over the next few weeks, and I'm asking for sponsors to help me reach my fundraising goal. Will you help by making a pledge per minute that I read or a simple flat donation?

About this fundraiser:

We are holding a Read-a-thon September 30-October 13! Children will read at home and record their minutes plus read in the classroom! Each student has a goal of 200 minutes to read! We are hoping each family can raise $35. The reading log should come back on Mondays so we can record the at home minutes! A child's reading minutes will count toward prizes for the entire class.

We also have prizes for the student that raises the most money and the class that raises the most money.

We are a school where student learning thrives and children feel good about the place they call their school. We believe that this is because of the incredible students that attend our school, the awesome staff who believe that relationships with students are key to optimal learning and more importantly the incredible support of our families. We could not engage in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do here without your monetary support.

Please know that no amount is too small. Your ongoing backing and support are both truly appreciated.
