About this fundraiser:

My close friend, Matt Buyten, who is a seven-time X-Games Freestyle Motocross step-up champion, unfortunately, had a serious accident that left him paralyzed from the chest down. Matt is an incredible person who has brought immense joy to countless people, especially children. I could go on and on about the positive impact he has made.

Now, I want to use my skills and abilities to raise money for his charity. On September 14th, I will be competing in the Iron Built Games Powerlifting event, organized by Rogue Fitness and the USPA, in Clearwater, Florida. This event will take place simultaneously at 21 different locations across the country.

During this event, I will specifically be aiming to break the California State Record for bench press, which currently stands at 501 pounds and has been in place since 2011. To support this cause, I will be asking for either flat donations, a flat amount based on whether or not I beat the record or donations based on the weight lifted in the bench press. This means that individuals can choose to pledge a certain amount of money per pound that I can lift in bench press.

I am determined to do everything I can to support Matt and his family. Together, we can make a difference and help him in his journey towards recovery.

Your donations will help pay for:

  • Hospital Bills
  • Wheelchair and equipment needed
  • Transportation
  • Child care
