At Mayid Martial Arts we are dedicated to helping create a happier, healthier, and safer community while creating unique opportunities and unforgettable experiences to give back to charity.

This month's Kick-A-Thon event challenges our participating students to throw 1,000 kicks or as many as they can within an hour to raise money for a very important cause. We are raising money for METAvivor— a nonprofit organization dedicated to the fight to sustain hope for women and men living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

Metastatic breast cancer (MBC) is the most advanced stage of breast cancer. This classification of breast cancer has the poorest prognosis (survival rate) due to the cancer spreading uncontrollably beyond the breast and nearby lymph nodes to the lungs, bones, and brain. There currently is no cure. It is estimated roughly 284,200 people in the US (both men and women) are living with MBC. Around 1 in 3 women who are diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer will develop metastatic disease. Please support our effort in raising donations to contribute to this research and increasing awareness around this tragic disease. METAvivor is the only organization that solely funds MBC research through a scientific peer review process. 100% of all donations go into MBC-specific research grants. METAvivor is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.

Our Kick-A-Thon will be held on Saturday, December 18th at Mayid Martial Arts in Northridge, California. However, we will be accepting donations through the end of the month of December. Please know that no amount is too small to donate. Your support is truly appreciated. Thank you.
