About this fundraiser:

Marin Dance Theatre is proud to host it's 16th annual “Raise the Barre" Dance-a-thon on Sunday, March 16th, 2025! The festivities for the day include unique dance workshops, a catered lunch by Comfort's, raffles, a silent auction, a photo booth, the "Raise the Barre" Scholarship announcement, and a day full of fun!

The proceeds from this event support Marin Dance Theatre’s many programs and classes, all of which make MDT one of the leading classical ballet facilities in the Bay Area. Our training curriculum includes ballet, contemporary, jazz, musical theater, pilates, and three performance opportunities throughout the year. Marin Dance Theatre also supports a drop-in Open Division for varied levels of ballet training, Outreach Programs to our community with elementary schools and preschools, Adaptive Dance classes for individuals with autism spectrum and other sensory sensitivities or disabilities, and our Parkinson's Dance Project program for persons with Parkinson's disease, their partners, caregivers and friends.

Our goal for this event is to raise $100,000! This campaign will be funded directly from our silent auction, business donors, and raffle tickets, but the majority of the fundraising comes from donations raised by our students and family members from Marin Dance Theatre. We are grateful for all donations, large and small, and please know your participation is truly appreciated. TOGETHER, we can “Raise the Barre”!
