Let's help our children become better readers...Together!

Why:
My Book Buddy's 4th Annual 2020 Walk for Literacy is an event designed to help raise awareness of the literacy crisis in Detroit and promote resources for the crisis. Save the date, tell a friend, gather a group, and show public support for children's literacy by participating in our team walk the morning of Saturday, April 25th from 10am to Noon (Southfield, MI & Davison, MI locations). Not local? Become a virtual participant and walk from anywhere, anytime during the weekend of April 24th to April 26th to support the cause. We need all of the walkers we can get to show our kids that their literacy is important. Walk for literacy with each step you take with us!

Donations:
Each year, My Book Buddy sponsors a Book Fair at a school in the Detroit area to allow their students to shop for books to read over the summer for FREE. This is our major annual community service project. We would love to be able to sponsor the book fair to cover Kindergarten thru 5th grade classrooms AGAIN at this years winning school.

Our team has been working hard to make this event a success. Join one of our teams and be a fearless supporter for the kids. A $10 donation sponsors one student and they will receive at least two books during our 2020 Book Fair to take home. For every $10 donated, we will walk a mile.
