About this fundraiser:

In June of 2019, I will have the privilege to volunteer at Our Lady of Armenia Center in Armenia as a soccer coach and a spiritual mentor.

This center was founded following the horrible earthquake of 1988. Where a group of Armenian sisters came to Armenia to console their grief of our nation. Today the order has an orphanage, a Vocational School and a Day-Care Center for the Elderly in Gyumri, a Day-Care Center in Tashir, a Summer Camp in Tsaghkadzor, a Youth Center in Yerevan and a Convent in Javakhq, Georgia. The Sisters teach catechism and do pastoral work in many of the Catholic villages of the regions of Shirak, Tashir, and Southern Georgia.

The mission of the Our Lady of Armenia Center is to secure the overall development of orphaned, abandoned and needy children.

The Center strives to create an atmosphere where the child can develop his/her mental, spiritual, social, physical and emotional abilities. The Center also aims to provide its teenagers the necessary means to become educated, skilled, independent and self-sufficient adults.

I feel it is my duty to volunteer at Our Lady of Armenia center. This experience will change who I am at my core. Giving of one's self for another without seeking anything in return often leads to the most personally rewarding interactions one can experience.
I am beyond excited to meet these amazing children and provide them with love, care and lifelong connections that will enable them to thrive as adults.

With all of your heartfelt donations, I will help buy these kids all the necessary sports gear, equipments, religious supplies and all other supplies needed for the center.
