What is a Walk-A-Thon?
The Parkside Walk-A-Thon serves as Parkside PTO’s primary fundraising event of the year. Parkside Students will complete a walk comprised of obstacles with their class. Sponsors will pledge flat donations to support student efforts.

When is the Walk-A-Thon?
Thursday, October 7, 2021 during school hours. Due to Covid Restrictions at this time, students will take part in the Walk-A-Thon outdoors with their class. Please fill out the permission slip to let your child participate. For the form, please visit www.parksidepto.com/info.

What is our Walk-A-Thon Goal?
The purpose of the Walk is to raise money to promote education and enrichment programs for the students of Parkside Elementary School paid for by the PTO. These are programs such as Assemblies, Field Trips, Field Day, School Programs, Events and Celebrations, Book Vending Machine, Playground/Recess Equipment. Our goal is to raise AT LEAST $15,000!

Not only will you support education and enrichment, but the event also promotes physical fitness!

Why did my child come home with a large packet?
Inside the packet you will find:
1) Information Sheet
2) Donation Sheet Sign up Info for 99pledges (all donations to students are made online)
3) Sponsor Sheet – This sheet can be returned to school in an envelope marked “Parkside PTO”
4)THE VERY IMPORTANT PERMISSION SLIP! A Signature is REQUIRED! PARENT/GUARDIAN’S SIGNATURE ON THE PERMISSION SLIP IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE.

Who can participate?
All Parkside Students K through 5th Grade! Ask family, neighbors, and friends to Sponsor. Don't forget to tell family and friends that don't live locally that they can donate online!

SEPTEMBER 17, 2021
All sponsorship forms and t-shirt forms are due. **All students should fill out a t-shirt order form. - forms can be found at www.parksidepto.com/info

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2021
This will be the last day to donate to student efforts via 99pledges online.

Sponsors of $200 or more will have their name on the back of the Walk-a-thon t-shirts as well as advertised on our website and Facebook page.
