About this fundraiser:

The Ridgecrest Elementary Read-A-Thon is an annual event encouraging students to have fun reading and engaging with books and stories. The Ridgecrest PTA organizes this event in order to raise money for classroom supplies, art materials, field trips, school technology upgrades, teacher appreciation, community support, and fun activities for our students and families! Our students will log their reading over three weeks.

Readathon Details: Our goal is to raise $8,000 for our school!

Dates: February 10th - February 28th

How to Participate: All students will track the number of minutes they spend reading, being read to, listening to audiobooks, looking at picture books. It all counts in the ReadAThon!

Create and Share Your Fundraising Page: This is a fantastic opportunity for students to share their love for reading and encourage friends and family to support their efforts.

Log Reading Minutes: Throughout the Readathon period, students can log the minutes they spend reading on their coloring sheet that will be turned in at the end of the Readathon. This not only helps in tracking progress but also contributes to the overall goal of promoting literacy and a love of reading!

Prizes for All Participants:
Every student who participates in the Readathon will receive a small prize. We believe that every reader deserves recognition and encouragement! Those who raise funds will qualify for an additional prize.

Reading Goal Prizes:
In addition to the participation prizes, we will be awarding special prizes to those students who meet reading goals (specified by grade)

Encouraging a Love for Reading:
The Readathon is not just about raising funds; it's also about fostering a love for reading! We encourage you to spend quality time with your child, exploring new books, and sharing the joy of storytelling.
