ARE YOU READY TO READ??? We certainly hope so because it’s time to begin the PTA sponsored, 11th Annual Roosevelt Read-A-Thon! The Read-A-Thon is a fun and profitable fundraiser that allows our children to raise money for their PTA without selling anything.
Instead, we promote our school’s goal of a love for reading.

The best part of the READ-A-THON fundraiser is that the money collected in a Read-A-Thon is used at our school for our children. Your PTA sponsors purchasing library books, science and math materials, cultural enrichment programs, movie nights, Winterfest, new playground equipment, our school play, 5K run, OJP and much more.
This year is yet again different. We cannot do as many of the fun, school wide programs of years past. But we can still help foster a love for reading in our children while at the same time, supporting our PTA with what we can safely do this year, but also looking ahead. The Read-A-Thon is easy and fun and we are hoping that everyone will participate to make it a huge success for our school and children. We are challenging the whole school to read a total of 20,000 minutes!
We are once again partnering with 99pledges for donations. We used this site last year for both our read-a-thon and our 5k run and it was great.
Please know that no amount is too small. Your ongoing backing and support are both truly appreciated. Kids are also still encouraged to track their minutes read and participate without raising funds.
