Help spread the word

I was fortunate to grow up with parents who would take me on wild adventures and who were able to support my interests in the Wilderness.
As a 17-year-old, I attended a month-long NOLS course in the Wind River Range, WY, spending 30 days unplugged and fully immersed in the Wilderness. None of this was easy or cheap; most kids don't get these same opportunities.
The Selway Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation is making a big impact in this area. We are building a program to immerse NEW kids in wild places. We provide multi-day wilderness trips free of charge, removing as many barriers to participation as possible. These expeditions will be transformative for many young people throughout this region.
On June 1, I will attempt my most ambitious run in 5 years, 50 miles through rugged Idaho Wilderness. Please consider sponsoring my endeavor, which directly supports our youth program. I'll be lucky to cover 50 miles in 12 hours with the terrain I've chosen;)
Thank you so much!
About this fundraiser:
Help the Selway Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation raise $10,000 during our Hike-a-Thon!
Participants are committing to hiking during National Trails Day weekend (May 31-June 2) and they are asking for your support! Please pledge a dollar amount per mile hiked. You will be charged after the participant you support reports their mileage.
All funds raised will directly support SBFC's Youth Wilderness Program, a new opportunity for us to bring youth into Wilderness. We are dedicated to cultivating in youth an appreciation for Wilderness, public land, and public service; fostering the next generation of Wilderness stewards. Through hands-on conservation work, experiential learning, and plenty of recreation, youth will engage the land and learn the true meaning of Wilderness. SBFC is leading six multi-day youth wilderness expeditions in 2024 and funds help cover the cost of training, staff, gear, supplies, etc. All trips are offered to participants FREE of charge!
