Dear Friends and Family,

I am getting ready to move my body next month at my school's Move-A-Thon. I'm excited to be a part of it because this event raises money for me and my classmates to continue to be enriched with classroom resources, art, technology, and community-building initiatives.

I'm asking for sponsors to help me reach my fundraising goal. Will you help by making a pledge per lap or a simple flat donation?

My goal is to move for 24 number of laps this year. Every 9.5 laps is equal to one mile.

We're excited to share news about the upcoming Silver Beach Elementary School Move-A-Thon, scheduled for Friday, October 6th. This event holds a special place in our hearts as it brings together students, families, and the community to promote physical activity, healthy living, and camaraderie. More than just a fun-filled day, the Move-A-Thon also serves as a vital fundraising endeavor to support our school's programs and initiatives.

As our sole PTO fundraiser this year, the Move-a-Thon aims to raise $30,000 in total. This money will enhance classroom resources, art enrichment, technology, and community-building initiatives. At Silver Beach Elementary we are better together!

We have some fun incentives planned for participants this year! Each student will receive a commemorative t-shirt, certificate of participation, popsicle, and cookies from Erin Baker's. Our top fundraising student will be Principal for the Day. Our second place fundraising student will get to choose three staff members to spray with silly string at the 10/23 Monday morning assembly. The top primary and intermediate grade classes will be awarded pizza parties courtesy of Domino's Pizza.
