Jaye Gaddis
Soroptimist Indy Metro

Dear Friends and Family,

I am lacing up my sneakers and walking my best for Soroptimist Indy Metro's Walk-a-Thon. I'm excited to be a part of it because this event raises money for our annual awards and local mentoring program. This walk-a-thon is also a great way to celebrate our 100th anniversary as each club member strives to walk 100 miles by October 1, 2021!

I'm asking for sponsors to help me reach my fundraising goal. Will you help by making a pledge per mile or a simple flat donation?

Thank you for all of your support and encouragement!

About this fundraiser:

Soroptimist means “best for women” and this is what the organization has tried to be since its founding in 1921. To celebrate our 100th anniversary we are hosting a walk-a-thon fundraiser! Please support our cause by pledging to support our members who will walk 100 miles by October 1, 2021.

Soroptimist's membership now has over 95,000 women, living in about 120 countries and territories throughout the world, contribute their time and financial support to community based and international projects that benefit women and girls. Soroptimist International is active at all major United Nations centers around the world and is one of the world’s best kept secrets.

Our local chapter, Soroptimist International of Indianapolis Metro was chartered in June 2010. Since our inception, we have helped women and girls by sponsoring events at Dress for Success with their Professional Women’s Group, through our Soroptimist awards, adopting a family for Christmas at the Julian Center, and partnering up with organizations like Start Strong and Heather’s Voice. Our newest program is a monthly mentoring opportunity with local high schools girls to prepare them for their future after graduation. We establish events and fundraisers throughout the year to support future programming, community service, and scholarship awards to benefit women and girls in the Greater Indianapolis community. We are requesting your support to advance these goals and extend the mission of this international organization. More information about the organization and our club can be found at www.soroptimist.org and www.soroptimistindymetro.org.

Your donations will help pay for:

  • Funding of annual awards presented to local women
  • Funding of our mentoring program for local high school girls
