Dear Friends and Family,

I'm bringing my laptop and my writing muscles this month to The Inner Loop's Write-a-thon! They're gathering the writing community together for this unique fundraiser so we can help them continue providing outstanding, low-to-no cost programming and resources for writers.

I'm so excited to be a part of this event! I love the Inner Loop; they've supported and inspired me in so many ways. I did some of my best writing at my own 2020 Inner Loop summer residency, and I'd never have founded the MoCo Underground Writers Showcase without their blazing a path for me to follow. Could you please help me reach my personal fundraising goal of $1,000 by making an hourly writing pledge OR simple flat donation? As little as $5 per hour would make a huge difference to me, to this amazing organization, and to the writers they support.

About this fundraiser:

The Inner Loop’s Write-a-thon is a day-long event, in which writers commit to writing for 8 hours and enlist their friends and family to support them along the way!

Our goal is to support writers in their journeys, and that’s why we’re giving them an entire day to write while we pamper them with treats and moral support.

It’s also an opportunity to support a meaningful cause. Funds will go toward all of The Inner Loop's programs and The Writer's Center's BIPOC scholarship, making a real difference in the lives of local writers and our community.

The Inner Loop is a uniquely collaborative and inclusive literary organization based in Washington, DC that provides low-to-no cost programming for writers of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, regardless of experience level. Through a lively and welcoming monthly reading series, podcast, summer residency, writers’ retreats, and our Author’s Corner publicity campaign, our focus is supporting and fostering a diverse and progressive community that showcases writers within DC’s unique and evolving literary arts scene.
