Our mission:
NetCore Cares is calling upon the community to raise $350,000 to support the purchase of the dedicated space we use for our UMEG(United Men Empowerment Group) gatherings and community activities. These funds will not only secure this permanent location for UMEG but will also provide vital resources for operational and program expenses, ensuring the continued support for our local St. Louis community and around the United States.
UMEG's mission is to elevate the voices of men and advocate for justice, fairness, equality, respect, dignity, and love for all individuals—regardless of race, creed, orientation, or gender.
Background:
Founded in 2017, NetCore Cares is entering a pivotal phase of its development this year. With a renewed commitment to making a meaningful impact on our community. The organization was established by Darnale Lamont Miller, a disabled vet who has faced numerous challenges, including systemic discrimination and mistreatment.
On February 26, 2025, Darnale was wrongfully forced out his home for 24hrs, with threat of arrest, in St. Louis, MO. This is after seeking police assistance from a woman who attempted to take his life. Despite Darnale being the victim and the one who called for help, the police treated him as the aggressor.
In addition to this traumatic event, Darnale faces ongoing struggles at the hospital he works at, where he encounters racial prejudice and is told by his coworkers to "just suck it up", cuz “that’s just how it is”, rather than receiving the support and care he deserves.
NetCore Cares, through the UMEG initiative, aims to stand as a beacon of hope and empowerment for the men, particularly those facing systemic injustice, and to bring about meaningful change in our community.
