What’s more fun than skiing/boarding? Skiing/boarding for a good cause.

The Wailers’ Vertical Challenge is a ski-a-thon that combines our love of winter sports with fundraising for The Unrecables, a 501(c)(3) charity and 100% volunteer-based organization, serving the recreational needs of people with disabilities. The Unrecables promote adaptive sports, and encourage people with disabilities to participate in sports, recreational, and social activities in their communities.

HOW IT WORKS: Each pledge is a dollar amount based on 1,000 vertical feet covered by our skiers/riders from 10 AM to 3 PM. Each skier/riders' (or team's) vertical feet will be tracked by an app.

For example, you pledge of $2 and the skier/rider (or team collectively) covers 10,000 feet during the vertical challenge, that results in a $20 payment.

NOTE: THE MAXIMUM VERTICAL FEET WILL BE CAPPED AT 20,000 for pledge purposes so, your commitment is locked in at no more than $donated x 20,000 vf.

Your donations will help pay for:

• Buying equipment: mono skis (cost about $5k) and outriggers
• Unrecable Member Scholarships
• Storage fee for adaptive sports equipment
