Dear Friends and Family,

I am lacing up my sneakers and walking with my classmates at the McCarter Elementary Walk-a-thon. This event raises money for me and my classmates to enjoy a new electronic sign in front of our school and enhanced classroom activities.

I would appreciate it (and so would my 400 schoolmates) if you could help support me.

About this fundraiser:

Our Walk-a-thon gets students moving while raising money to make their school year memorable. With nothing to sell or deliver, funds go directly to support the experiences of students, teachers and staff.

Walk-a-thon will happen during the school day on Friday, September 8, 2017. Parents and Grandparents are encouraged to come walk alongside your student or cheer them on! Students will walk as many laps as they can during their "specials" class period. Pledges are made for a set amount in this direct donation fundraiser.

Proceeds up to $5000 will support the purchase of an electronic sign in front of the school. This legacy sign will benefit current and future McCarter students, a gift from the students in 2017-2018. Additional funds raised will be used for classroom enhancements.

McCarter Elementary is proud of the incredible support of our families, friends, coworkers and community.

Your ongoing backing and support are both truly appreciated.

Incentives include:
*All students that turn in any dollar amount on a pledge sheet or through online giving will be entered in a drawing for a $20 Target gift card.
*All students reaching the goal of $65 or more through pledges and online will receive a carnival prize bag!
*All students raising $200 or more through pledges and online by September 30th, 2017 will receive a customized 3D printed design of their first name!

An additional "Dollars and Cents" fundraiser allows students to bring pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters and bills to contribute to their grade level box the week before and after Walk-a-thon. The grade level that raises the most money through "Dollars and Cents" will win a pizza party! If the school can raise $2500 through the "Dollars and Cents" fundraiser, Principal Cooney will perform an awesome dare! Watch for details soon!
