Help spread the word
Dear Friends and Family,
I am diving into my books and reading my best for my school's Read-A-Thon. I'm excited to be a part of it because this event raises money for new technology for me, my classmates, and my teachers.
I'm going to read as much as I can over the next two weeks, and I'm asking for sponsors to help me reach my fundraising goal. Will you help by making a pledge per minute that I read (1,000 minutes max) or a simple flat donation?
Thank you for all of your support and encouragement!
About this fundraiser:
Welcome to NDE's 2023 Read-a-thon! This 2-week fundraiser will start on May 8, 2023 and run until May 19, 2023. The event is a wonderful way to inspire students to develop and nurture a love for reading while raising money for the school.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 to fund new technology for our classrooms.
HOW IT WORKS
Share this page to invite people to sponsor your student(s). Family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers all make great sponsors! Pledges may be a flat amount or an amount for minutes read.
Follow Up: Check your page often to see who has donated and send a reminder to those who still want to donate.
Reading Log: The Reading Log this year is right on your 99 Pledges private profile management page and is very easy to use! Visit your webpage daily to enter your total minutes for the day. Count any time spent reading at school and at home. Each class will be given class time to read during the 2 weeks of the Read-a-thon. There will also be Buddy Times for older students to read to younger students, as well as Read-a-Louds with Dr. Jeremiassen. Be sure to count all these times on your Reading Log!
Log minutes read by May 12, May 15, and at the end of the Read-a-thon to see your student’s name on the recognition wall at school! Complete final reading logs within 1 week of the end of the Read-a-thon (by May 26) to make sure they are counted for Per Minute pledges.
