Our success last season on the field and the various educational awards received by our youth have proven that with your support, the possibilities are limitless. We could not engage in the wonderful opportunities and the fun things we will continue to do without your monetary support. As the reigning 2023 League, State and National Champions, we are looking to repeat our achievements from last year. Our fundraisers have helped with fees, uniforms, weekly meals, travel and an end of season banquet. Additionally, Richmond Steelers have been around for generations, the Richmond Steelers Football Program has provided a safe and supportive space for promising youth in the City of Pride & Purpose to learn and transform into future leaders in their communities. In an effort to support the current 10-year-old Steelers, the Richmond Steelers developed the Steel Scholars program - a program designed to support our boys and girls as they continue to grow and mature as scholars and athletes. The Steel Scholars program is a yearlong, wraparound, high-school preparation program aimed at supporting students and athletes throughout the year. Among other things, the Steel Scholars program will ensure students have access to essential academic resources, arrange tours of college campuses, and provide opportunities for students to engage with leaders and role models in the community – all of this with the goal of increasing student achievement, promoting youth leadership, and supporting positive community growth.
