The Glade Valley Athletic Association Baseball League is where our kids learn as much off the field as they do on the field. We believe this is because of the incredible players, the awesome coaches and more importantly the incredible support from our families and community.

The money raised helps us to keep our league registration fees affordable, maintain our baseball fields, and provide quality uniforms and equipment, etc.

How the Hit-A-Thon Works....

Players collect $10.00 for an “at bat”. An “at bat” is either 1 hit or 3 strikes, whichever comes first.

There is no limit to the amount of donations a player can collect, but a maximum of 10 at-bats will be given due to time considerations.

Some Prizes/Recognition will include:

- Players, in each division, with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd longest hit
- Top Fundraising Player
- Top Fundraising Team
And More!

We look forward to an amazing event and season … thanks again!

About this fundraiser:

Glade Valley Athletic Association (GVAA) is a self-funded, non-profit organization consisting of seven levels of baseball teams with multiple teams within each age group: T-Ball, 8U Machine Pitch, 10U Cal Ripken, 12U Cal Ripken, 13U MABA, 14U Babe Ruth, and 16U Babe Ruth (ranging in ages from 5-16 years old).

We believe the benefits of playing baseball start at an early age and are not limited to the baseball diamond. While players learn physical and mental toughness, camaraderie, the importance of teamwork in practices and games, discipline, building a strong work ethic that is developed to carry into their future. The GVAA Baseball program has over 200 youth athletes who are dedicated to improving their baseball skills and developing to compete at a higher level. We strive to build our program by preparing players for future successes in baseball and encouraging them to continue to play high school baseball in the future. The GVAA Baseball program is the feeder program for the Walkersville High School baseball team.

GVAA Baseball is a non-profit organization and there are many costs involved with keeping our program running smoothly to ensure the safest and best experience for each youth athlete. We exist solely through player registration fees, fundraising, and sponsorships.
