Their production of “for colored girls who have considered // when the rainbow is enough” was selected to represent MS at #ITF2025

Any amount donated will got to support getting Troupe 4909 and their directors to ITF!

Ida B. Wells APAC Theatre students' production of, "For colored girls who have considered suicide / when the rainbow is enuf," is heading to the International Thespian Festival to represent Mississippi! Troupe 4909 beat out troupes from both public and private schools around the state at the Mississippi Thespian Festival for this honor. It will cost around $1500 per student to make the trip. Please help make a donation and help these kids make the trip that they worked so hard to earn.

Wells APAC (Academic and Performing Arts Complex) is an amazing program with the Jackson (Mississippi) Public Schools District that serves students in grades 4-12. APAC seeks to provide excellence in art and academics by providing intensive training for academically talented students through the provision of a strong scholastic and specialty enrichment program. Jackson Public Schools (JPS) is the third-largest school district in Mississippi, and is located in the state's only urban municipality.
