Help spread the word
Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Beaverton Black Parent Union! I am participating BBPU's basketball fundraiser to raise money for scholarships to promising high school graduates to support their college tuition costs. Help us add to the scholarship fund and support the class of 2025!
I'm excited because I will shoot 25 free throws and 25 three pointers (50 shots total) at the Shoot-a-thon on January 9th, and I'm asking for sponsors to help me reach my fundraising goal of $200.
Will you help by making a pledge per shot or by making a simple flat donation?
Thank you for all of your support and encouragement!
About this fundraiser:
The BBPU Freedom Free throw Fundraiser in honor of the upcoming Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday will take place on Friday, January 10th to help raise funds for the annual Black Grad Scholarship program.
The Beaverton Black Parent Union (BBPU) is a collective of families organized to create community, advocate for culturally relevant resources, and ultimately support the success and well-being of Black students in the Beaverton area.
We engage in grassroots organizing and community building to unify Black families and parents/caregivers of Black children across Beaverton and Washington County to amplify our voice for social change.
Every year BBPU awards over ten scholarships to promising high school graduates to support their college tuition costs. To date, we've provided over $67,000 in scholarships and monetary prizes to Black students in the Beaverton area. Help us add to this fund and support the class of 2025!
All donors are invited to watch the Shoot-A-Thon live and cheer on the fundraising team on Friday, Jan. 10th, at 6:30pm at THE HOOP/Beaverton Family YMCA.
