Help spread the word

Dear Friends,
This June I hope to complete a 200 mile walk-a-thon on the Camino de Santiago. I will join alumni and friends of the Alliance Academy to honor one of its legendary teachers and administrators, Adam Yoder. He passed away during the pandemic at the age of 34 but not before making a big impact in the lives of many students.
I'm looking for sponsors to help me, and the team, reach our fundraising goal for this event. Will you help by making a pledge per mile or a simple flat donation? All the funds raised through this walk will go to Adam's memorial fund which is used for spiritual formation activities at the school. None of these funds will go toward trip expenses; I am paying my own way. Your donations are tax deductible.
Thank you for partnering with us and for being part of something life-changing!
About this fundraiser:
Before Adam Yoder passed away at the age of 34, he poured out his exemplary life for nine years on Alliance Academy International students, faculty and staff. His quiet strength, wisdom and quick wit continue to hearten us. His love of God continues to inspire us.
Much more than their History teacher or Assistant Principal, Adam strove to make himself easily accessible to his students. He made special time for struggling students, and always had a listening ear. Because of these qualities, he had great opportunities to mentor them, especially in intentional settings like the Man Up Retreat.
In June 2023, a group of Alliance Academy alumni and friends are paying their own way to undertake an epic 200 mile walk on the Camino de Santiago to honor Adam’s legacy. This campaign, called Dejando Huellas (Leaving Footprints), describes what the team will do across northern Spain over 2 weeks, and is an apt description of Adam’s impact on the hearts of students. The team aims to raise money for his memorial fund so that the school can continue to make an eternal imprint on hearts. All donated funds will be used to support initiatives enabling the Christian spiritual formation of the AAI community, including student retreats, community outreach, service learning projects and staff retreats.
