Dear Friends and Family,

I am lacing up my sneakers next month and running my best at my school's Jog-a-Thon. I'm excited to be a part of it because this event raises money for me and my classmates to continue to be enriched with Science, Art, Drama and other programs that are essential but no longer provided by our education system.

I'm asking for sponsors to help me reach my fundraising goal. Will you help by making a pledge per lap or a simple flat donation?

About this fundraiser:

What is it? The Cougar Color Dash is our fall fundraiser for RES PTO. It is a fun opportunity for kids to join together to run around our school’s track while getting covered in color and then collect donations from family, neighbors and local businesses.

When is it? Friday, October 20th, 2023

Why raise money? PTO helps fund many important and fun aspects at RES. Field trips for all grades, filling the book vending machine, teacher luncheons, and staff wish lists are just a sampling of the different items your donation will go towards.

Why else to raise money? Each student who raises $30 or more will get their name painted on a red cougar paw at the front of the school. Want a black glitter cougar paw? Raise $50 or more. The top 3 fundraisers from the entire school will also win cool prizes and EVERYONE gets extra recess if we reach our goal of $22,000.

¿Qué es? El Cougar Color Dash es el único evento de recaudación de fondos del otoño patrocinado por el PTO. Los alumnos se reúnen para correr en la pista detrás de la escuela mientras se cubren con polvo de colores. Los alumnos recaudan fondos de su familias, vecinos y negocios locales.

¿Cuándo es? Viernes, 20 de Octubre

¿Por qué recolectar donaciones? PTO ayuda a financiar muchos aspectos importantes y divertidos en RES. Las excursiones para todos los grados, los libros de la biblioteca, los almuerzos de los maestros y las listas de deseos de los maestros son unos ejemplos de los esfuerzos donde contribuyen sus donaciones.

¿Necesitas otra razón para recaudar fondos? Cada alumno que recaude $30 o más tendrá su nombre pintado en una pata de puma roja, localizada en el frente de la escuela. ¿Quieres una pata negra con escarchas? recauda $50 o más. Los 3 mejores recaudadores de fondos de toda la escuela ganarán premios y TODOS las clases y alumnos tendrán un recreo adicional si alcanzamos nuestra meta de $22,000.
