About this fundraiser:
On 6 October 2005, Lance Corporal Jason Frye was killed in action 6,120 miles from his home in Landisburg, Pennsylvania, while forward deployed as a United States Marine infantryman in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. His parents Connie and Gary have since set out to establish a community center in his memory.
On the 20th anniversary of his death, I will ruck a 20-mile route from the recruiting office where he enlisted in Carlisle, PA, to his grave at Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Bridgeport, PA, in an attempt to raise $6,120 to be used in the construction of the Jason Frye Memorial Center.
This fundraiser will remain open for a couple days beyond the hike to allow for any late donations or new awareness raised through potential newspaper coverage of the event.
Your donations will help pay for:
- Construction of the Jason Frye Memorial Center
