Please help me raise $2,500 to cover my travel expenses (lodging, airfare, food, etc.) for the USSSA Elite World Series in Orlando, Florida. In an effort to achieve this goal, I am participating in a Hit-A-Thon over the next 2 months. I pledge to hit at least 2 hits in each of my next 5 games.

About this fundraiser:
Our San Diego STARS are a talented group of 9 year-old baseball players who have worked and played together for almost three years.
Our 9 year-old team has achieved many victories and won several tournaments during our time together; these achievements have recently earned us an invitation to compete this summer in the USSSA Elite World Series at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Orlando, Florida. We are one of the top 32 9-year-old teams in the country who were selected to compete, and we couldn’t be more proud of our boys. The hard work they continually put in on and off the field earned them this invitation.
Our path to the World Series will require our team to travel to Orlando the last week of July. Currently, we do not have a sponsor to help us pay for uniforms, entry fees, travel and hotel expenses. The STARS families must cover all costs in order for our boys to attend. Our goal is to raise $25,000. To reach our goal, we need your help, and the support of our community, our fans and our friends. Please help us promote San Diego, and show how community support of sports has such a positive effect on our youth.
Our STARS are a part of the prestigious San Diego STARS Baseball Academy; one of the oldest and most successful traveling baseball teams in the state of California, with teams ranging from 7 to 16 years of age. Since its inception in 1988, there have been 17 STARS players to go on to play professional baseball. As one of the nation’s elite boys’ baseball teams, the STARS are always well received as they travel around the country. Winners of 27 World Series Championships, each year the STARS are ranked among the top teams in the nation.
