Dear Friends and Family,

I am ready to read for the Topanga Elementary Read-A-Thon!
This event raises money for me and my classmates to continue to be enriched with Science, Art, Physical Education, Classroom Aides and other programs that are essential to our growth and elementary school experience, but not funded by LAUSD, so it's up to ALL OF US to fund them!!

I would appreciate it (and so would my schoolmates) if you could help us reach our fundraising goals! My goal is to raise at least $150 which equates to $1 a minute, reading for 15 minutes a day for 10 days! I know I can do it! Will you pledge your support and encourage me?

About this fundraiser:

Let’s get reading for the first annual READ-A-THON!! Call on all your friends & family to sponsor your little reader to read a minimum of 15 minutes a day for 10 days at $1 a minute!

For the younger grades, time spent reading with a parent counts! For the older grades, independent reading is encouraged!

You will receive a reading log form from your child’s teacher to fill out each time your child reads! Please keep this honest and accurate, and have your child assist with the logging of minutes! This form will be given the 20th to start recording and will be turned in the 30th for a total of 10 days of Read-A-Thon!

The art, science, technology, P.E, and outdoor lab teachers, as well as the aides in our classrooms, are paid for by parent donations! We could not have these amazing staff members in our school, or engage in these fun and unique enrichment education opportunities, without your monetary support.

While our goal is at least $150 per child, please know that no amount is too small as your ongoing backing and support are both truly appreciated and necessary to keep Topanga Elementary Charter School thriving!
